Position Summary

This recruitment is being held to fill the vacancy of Executive Director, for the Community Action Partnership of Orange County. The Executive Director is under the policy direction of the Board Directors and has full responsibility and authority for the operation of the Agency.  Community Action Partnership of Orange County is the Community Action Agency for Orange County.  It is a private non-profit corporation, designated by the Orange County Board of Supervisors as the official anti-poverty agency of Orange County.  The current operating budget is 20 million dollars.  Required: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration or comparable field with 15 years of senior management experience; or advanced degree preferably an MBA or comparable field with at least 10 years of senior management experience.   Apply by: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2017

Weatherization Inspection Supervisor
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (EES)
Position Summary

Under supervision of the Field Superintendent, to assist in the overall planning, organization and management of the Weatherization Program; to directly supervise daily operations and crews for the delivery of weatherization services and inspection of all residential units served through Weatherization Contracts implemented by the Community Action Partnership of Orange County (CAPOC).  The Weatherization Inspection Supervisor is responsible for the day to day management of operations and crews and inspectors/assessors to deliver program services. The incumbent participates in crew personnel hiring and supervision, and also assists the Field Superintendent with program management, administration and other project activities. Will perform all required duties as necessary to ensure that any and all weatherization work performed is according to Federal, State or other funding source code and standard.  Other duties as needed and/or assigned within the Energy & Environmental Services (EES) Department.  Required: Some experience or education which would have applied or developed the required knowledge and abilities.  Specialized field training or certification in or related to the Weatherization field a plus. A Current California Class B (General Building Contractor) License is desirable.  Must provide a current Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) printout attached to job application. Research Specialist
NUTRITION EDUCATION AND OBESITY PREVENTION (NEOP) PROGRAMS
Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Research Specialist will assist with the evaluation of the Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention (NEOP) programs, funded by the County of Orange Health Care Agency. The Research Specialist will evaluate nutrition education and physical activity promotion interventions, and lead Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change efforts in a variety of community channels in the cities of Anaheim and La Habra. Evaluation methods can include process and impact evaluations, pre and post tests, surveys, focus/discussion roundtables, and more. Additional duties include providing direct and indirect nutrition classes and attending events to provide nutrition education information. Funding is for one year, with the possibility of a second year. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Community Health, Health Education, Health Sciences, or Public Health from an accredited university with a minimum of 6-12 units focused on evaluation and statistical measures. Must possess active Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential. Preferred:  Minimum requirements plus 2-4 years or more related experience. A computer literacy test will be administered.  Must pass test to be considered for interview. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential required.  Must provide proof of credential at time of interview.

Under general supervision, the Eligibility Technician/Childcare Worker will support the FaCT programs at El Modena Family Resource Center the Eligibility Technician/Childcare Worker will provide children’s services to accommodate parents who are participating in program activities (such as attending classes, workshops, or counseling sessions). Communicate in English and Spanish is required. Required: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of childcare experience, including working with infants.   Experience and/or education which would have applied or developed the required knowledge abilities as stated under minimum qualifications.  Preferred: Certified First Aid and CPR/AED Adult, Child and Infant is desirable.
