ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The MLTC is targeted to board and staff leaders at Community Action Agencies. The 2018 MLTC will feature intensive training, structured roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities. MLTC also engages Community Action leadership in a dialogue about how to best increase impact and efficiency throughout the year. Attendees will have multiple opportunities to gather new ideas, share experiences, ask questions, and convey agency accomplishments.

 

Management success depends upon your abilities as a coach, team builder, communicator, master delegator, project manager, motivator and disciplinarian. It is not an easy job, and whether you've been leading and managing for years, or you're looking forward to that promotion into management, you'll become your best with our Management and Leadership Training Conference.

              The History of Community Action with David Bradley

The Partnership is pleased to announce that David Bradley will be offering his History of Community Action training as a pre-conference event on January 9th, 2018. The fee for this all day pre-conference event is $100 per attendee.

 

As the New Year gets underway, you will not want to miss David Bradley's engaging presentations and the opportunity to discuss not only where Community Action has been, but also where Community Action is headed.

 

LOCATION

Hyatt Regency Houston is a striking AAA four diamond hotel in the heart of the country’s fourth largest city. Our conference rate is $169 plus tax/per night for single or double occupancy.

A complimentary shuttle bus is offered around downtown Houston. The Greenlink Downtown Circulator operates from 6:30 am to midnight. Enjoy complimentary access to the hotel business center as well.

 

TRANSPORTATION

The Hyatt Regency Houston is accessible to two airports. George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is a 25-30 minute taxi ride and Hobby Airport (HOU) is a 20-25 minute taxi ride. Times may vary depending on traffic conditions.

 

The hotel also offers parking options. Self-Parking is $20 per day. The parking lot is next door to the hotel and doesn’t offer in/out privileges. Valet Parking rates include: 0-10 hours: $20, 10-20 hours: $36, Overnight: $36/night + tax.

The 2017 Management and Leadership Training Conference took place in Long Beach, California, from January 10-13.
