Community Action Partnership's Branding Summit

Thank you so much to those who joined us on April 26-27, 2017, at the Courtyard Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile on 65 East Ontario Street Chicago, IL, 60611, for a series of presentations and roundtables to discuss the future and implementation of the Community Action Partnership brand. We're the best kept secret in the human services field, but instead of staying silent, we need to share our stories! Together, we generated ideas, brainstormed creatively and began crafting a plan that will increase the visiblity of our Network across the country.

This event featured renouned experts on nonprofit branding, Nathalie Laidler-Kylander and Julia Shepard Stenzel, authors of The Brand IDEA, as the keynote speaker. In The Brand IDEA, Ms. Laidler-Kylander and Ms. Shepard Stenzel give nonprofit organizations like the agencies that make up Community Action Partnership's Network a guide for integrating branding into every aspect of their work. Branding is more than just a logo or a tagline--it is a fundamental aspect of the entire organization's efforts, and it is a powerful tool that nonprofits can leverage to build a well-known and well-respected identity within their communities.

To continue to effectively advance the Community Action Partnership brand, however, we need you. We want to hear about the branding challenges you are facing as well as about your successes. Ultimately, the goal of this event was to broadern our understanding of how we can best provide you with communications and branding resources to communicate the excellent work you are doing in your communities. In the next few weeks and throughout Community Action Month, we will be following up with you to provide resources and tools to help you better communicates your impact.
